Diocese of Bath & Wells Awareness, Mystery & Value RE Curriculum

Nether Stowey Church of England School follows the Diocese of Bath and Wells' 'Awareness, mystery and Value' syllabus. Pupils of all ages study Christianity and other faiths. The AMV syllabus is complemented by RE Today's 'Understanding Christianity' resources. The school has a Foundation Group set up to enable the school to improve the Christian ethos of the school and ensure our RE, Collective Worship, Church Links and values are the best they can be.

Manging the right to withdraw

 

Parents have a right by law to withdraw their children from the Religious Education curriculum. In this event, we will undertake responsibility for their supervision with regard to health and safety. If you wish to withdraw your child / children from RE please make contact with the school office to discuss a meeting with Mrs Holt Headteacher.  There are always opportunities for parents to discuss the contents of the RE curriculum should they have concerns.
