Out of Hours Club
The Governors of Nether Stowey Primary School started to investigate
the possibility of opening an extended school facility in January 2004.
The club is designed to allow parents to take up employment or further
training and development by providing high quality, good value for money
childcare outside of school hours.
The club started in June 2005 after achieving Ofsted registration (Reg
No EY300743). The club is now licensed to care for a maximum of 16 children
between the ages of 4 to 8. Children over 8 do not need to have Ofsted
registration and are accommodated within the facility.
The club is open in the mornings from 7.45 until 8.45am. It is also
open in the afternoon from 3.30 until 6pm. The club in the morning provides
a breakfast and in the afternoon a snack which consists of a sandwich
and fruit. Parents must complete registration form prior to
the child starting and book a place at least one day before they intend
to use the club. Priority will be given to children who regularly use
the facility. The club only runs during term time.
Sarah Harris who is helped by Tracy and Elizabeth Villis runs the club.
When the club is open there are at least two members of staff on duty.
