ONLINE SAFETY
For children the Internet is an exciting place to explore. There are many benefits for improving learning, developing social skills and for showing a window on the world which as parents we did not have when we were young.
The school has a wide range of resources that protect children from teaching children how to be safe, having Internet filters, and many well established procedures and policies.
However, like teaching children how to cross roads, we all have our part in making sure that everyone is safe. From supervising and talking to children when they are on the computer, to ‘Friending’ them when they are old enough to have a social network site parents can help.
In many cases parents feel that they know less than their children about computers and the Internet.
Nether Stowey School uses Somerset elim's e-safety planning, 'BYTE' to deliver age-appropriate lessons on e-safety to all of our pupils. Click the link below to find out more.
