Welcome to our School Council page!
Our school council is made up of 2 elected class member from each class. This means that the views of children from across the key stages can be represented.
Our school councillors spent time researching different local charities.
The finalists were Cancer Research UK, Somerset Wildlife Trust and St Giles Animal Rescue Centre.
After a whole school assembly where each of the class reps shared their chosen charity, the whole school used democracy to vote for the charity they wanted to support this year.
The winner was St Giles Animal Rescue Centre!
As a school community, we very much look forward to fundraising for them this year. Charity is one of our school values and fits into our school motto:
We are caring. We are active. We are, our best.
Our past chosen charities have included raising funds for our school, St Margaret's Hospice, neonatal unit at Musgrove and Love Musgrove hospital.
A little can go a long way in helping a community.
'Love your neighbour as you love yourself ' Matthew 22:3
Look out for our termly updates and ways we are fundraising.
